Two salon owners in Runcorn, England, made the discovery of the secret room and tunnel in 2022 while remodeling their commercial building. The room and tunnel were concealed under a staircase.
Tiny glass squares, a tarnished mirror, bricks, and a sandstone archway were all present in the enigmatic space.
Adele Young, the salon’s owner, described being “amazed and stunned” to discover such a weird hidden area behind her place of business.
Young claims that she now thinks her salon is “haunted”—and she doesn’t consider this to be a bad thing.
