Many people in 2020 who were confined to their homes made the decision to conduct some DIY projects.
While some went smoothly, others resulted in a panicked call to a contractor. In 2020, one DIY homeowner had a completely different experience.
He noticed that one of the walls in his home had a different texture from the others and made the decision to look into it.
He tore down the wall and discovered a tunnel beneath his house that had been there for 120 years. He discovered paint cans, an old newspaper, odd tins and bottles, an old bicycle, and other unrelated stuff after passing through the tunnel.
The man speculated that this old tunnel was an ornate cellar, a popular element of nineteenth-century dwellings, after speaking with a historian acquaintance.
