Small planes can and do experience problems, especially in earlier decades when technology was less sophisticated. This is a sad but true fact. Three Zurich men perished in the fatal accident of a Piper Cherokee plane in the Swiss Alps in 1968.
The corpses were found by search and rescue, but the plane itself appeared to have disappeared.
That is,mountain guide Dominik Nellen by chance discovered the location in 2022. The location had been hidden beneath a glacier ever since the catastrophe. The wreckage was eventually visible because of melting ice and decreased snowfall.
