For instance, the discovery of a priceless, ancient jeweled brooch was featured in great fanfare on season five of the TV program about unearthing hidden treasures.
In the episode, a faceted rhodolite garnet was found in a century-old brooch that Gary Drayton, a metal detecting expert, had found. Experts estimate that the central jewel of the brooch is 500 years old, adding to Oak Island’s long mystery.
