Oregairu is a Japanese light novel series. It is written by Wataru Watari and illustrated by Ponkan8. Oregairu was adapted into a television anime series in 2013. The first season aired between April 4 and June 27.
Oregairu premise
The story of Oregairu is about two teenage loners named Hachiman Hikigaya and Yukino Yukinoshita. They are both individuals with different personalities. But even though they are different they work together for the Volunteer/Service club to offer help and advice to others as part of their school’s Service Club. Yukino is the clubs president and Hachiman has a crush on her. He thinks she is the prettiest girl in his school. Oregairu deals the with the issues and problems teens face all around the world in a light hearted way.
Characters
Hachiman Hikigaya
Hachiman is a loner with a stoic personality. He is a person that is full of pride and takes pride in doing things by himself. He always states that he does not care about any consequences since he is always alone and does not care about how others think of him. Despite him saying that he does not care about external validation, Hachiman is a person with very low self esteem. Appearance wise, he is a teenager with average build.
Yukino Yukinoshita
Yukino is extremely talented and smart. She is too a loner because of her ice cold behaviour. Her icy cold personality slowly fades away throughout the series. She becomes more vulnerable to those that are close to her. Yukino is very kind and selfless, and has a genuinely good heart despite her cold behaviour. She has fair skin and long black hair. Her most striking feature is a pair of large, piercing blue eyes.
Oregairu Season 3 release date
Season 3 of Oregairu was set to be released on April 9th 2020. But because of the COVID-19 Pandemic, the release date was pushed to July 10th 2020.
