Background:
She was born in Rochester, New York, on October 7, 1991, to Dawn and was adopted by Chad Drexel. Further,she wanted a career out of Cosmetology and modeling. Her parents separated in 2008 which put an adverse effect on her.

This led her to go to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina with her boyfriend and girlfriends. However, her mother didn’t allowed her to go, there were no accompanying adults on the trip. She lied her mother instead and let her go with her friends to her friends house.
Brittanee Drexel Disappearance :
Around 8:00 p.m. on the night of the 25 April, Drexel made a walk to the BlueWater Resort where her friend Brozowitz was staying.

She had been in constant communication with her boyfriend, john Grieco, throughout the day. While still replying to her boyfriend’s text messages after departing, all communications from Drexel’s phone then suddenly stopped at 9:15 p.m.
Investigation:
Concerned by her silence, he immediately informed Drexel’s mother to about the Myrtle Beach. He filed a missing person’s report with the Myrtle Beach Police Department. Though her phone records showed that her last signal came from Georgetown County.
Thus, FBI offered a $25,000 reward for information. But the lead only came in 2016, inmate Taquan Brown, in the McCormick Correctional Institution in South Carolina made a startling confession. He claim to witness Drexel being gang-raped at an abandoned “stash house” he frequented in McClellanville on April 27, 2009.
Timothy Taylor Allegation:
Investigators believe Da’Shaun likely brought her to McClellanville to be trafficked, but the disappearance caught too much media attention to keep Drexel alive.

Convicted of robbery in 2011, he failed a polygraph when asked about Drexel in March 2018. However, has never been charged with her murder.
Status:
As of now, Brittanee Drexel’s disappearance is most likely a homicide. Thus, FBI are still offering a reward for any information leading to the arrest of her killers.
