My Dress-Up Darling is a romance- anime and Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Shinichi Fukuda. The story follows with Wakana Gojo, a first-year high school student who dreams of becoming a hina doll craftsman. One day during his first semester, his popular classmate Marin Kitagawa sees him making doll costumes in the school’s sewing room.
Marin, who has wanted to cosplay for a while and has observed Wakana’s skill in sewing, asks him to create the costume of a character from a video game that she adores. Thus, popular girl’s obsession is fulfilled by a loner boy who discovers a new use of his sewing skills.

It begins with Kitagawa and Gojo bringing materials for Black Lobelia outfit. Kitagawa flaunts her swimsuit under the clothes to get an opinion of Gojo but the embarrassed man turns away his face without saying a word. Moreover, Marin teases him by asking for his consent as he didn’t reply while she sent her swimsuit photo.
After that, Gojo presents his completed outfits for Inui and Kitagawa impressing them and allowing them to perform a group cosplay. After that, Shinju surprises them with a male cosplay and a flashback scene shows the whole story behind it.
When Gojo and Shinju first went to the hospital, Gojo asked her if she wants to do a cosplay as she was reluctant in their first meeting at the restaurant. Shinju looked shy at first but she eventually that she wants to do a male cosplay. However, her figure doesn’t allow to perform that. Gojo managed to cover Shinju’s large breasts with a B-holder and transformed into her favorite male character.
