Sy Kravitz was an American Television Producer and was associated with NBC for the same. He was a former Millitary officer. He was also known for being the ex-husband of the famous actress Roxie Albertha Roker and father of singer-songwriter Leonard Albert Kravitz a.k.a Lenny Kravitz.
Sy Karvitz: History
His real name is Seymour Kravitz. He was born on 10 December, 1924, in Brooklyn, New York, U.S.A . He had a brother whose name is Leonard M. Kravitz. He died in the Korean War. Their parents were Jean Kaufman and Joseph Kravitz.
Education:
Sy Kravitz went to Beverly Hills High School and later joined a university where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1946.
Career
Seymour served in the US Army as a soldier and also held a rank of Military. He later joined the entertainment industry as a TV producer. He joined the army as a Green Beret and systematically rose to the position of sergeant. During his service time in army, he fought in the Second World War and the Korean War.

Subsequently, after living a significant part of his life in army, he joined the showbiz industry. He looked after the National Broadcasting Company (NBC). Gradually, he became a prominent figure in the industry.
Marriage and Children:
He was first married to Erika in 1948. They became parents to two children named Laurie and Tedi Kravitz. Later, he divorced her in 1955.

His second marriage was in 1963 to actress Roxie Roker. He became father to famous singer Lenny Kravitz. His second marriage didn’t last and they divorced in 1985. Further, actress Zoe Kravitz is his grand-daughter and daughter of Lenny Kravitz.
Death:
Sy Kravitz was identified with leukaemia and died on October 29, 2005, in New York City when he was 80 years old.
