Sega Consoles – – Last seen officially in 2011 through Advanced Pico Beena and Dreamcast, will Sega reinitiate manufacturing consoles? Sega has been a pioneer in this field for a long time. Let us dig into the history, the consoles they have put out so far, and the possibility of them remanufacturing consoles!
Sega Consoles – History Of Sega
The infamous video game company, Sega corporation is originally a Japanese multinational video game. It has it’s headquarter in Shinagawa, Tokyo. It has been divided into branches internationally as well as role wise! Some of the examples are Sega of America and Sega of Europe. Also, there’s Sega Games and Sega Interactive Co., Ltd.

Will Sega make a comeback?
This is a very gray area. Unfortunately it seems highly unlikely. The failure of Dreamcast costed them millions of dollars. The sales they expected were much less. Only 3 million units were sold worldwide. Franchises like Sonic the Hedgehog, Puyo Puyo, Shenmue, Yakuza, Bayonetta, and Phantasy Star have created huge buzz all around the world. Sonic has movies, toys and what now. Sega is succeeding well on this front. But Sega will always be known for it’s gaming initiatives.
Recently they have introduced Sega Genesis Mini edition. It has 42 games. And the best part you even get two controllers. With them succeeding as a third-party developer makes it hard to return to a business which costed them a hefty. But at the same time they can evaluate their console drawbacks. With monetary supply from their other ventures they can have a shot to come back to this business. But it is a long and a risky shot! However it is up to them if they want to invest in console making again. And there is no news regarding that for the year 2022 yet.
